Blockchain Summit of Health Care begins today. I want to be there. What does the Blockchain do well while promoting health care? Which questions do you need to answer? The Blockchain is now the keyword. Gartner points out those expectations are still outdated.
Gartner estimates that 90% of blockchain projects launched will fail within 18 to 24 months. The problem part is that most blockchain business projects do not require blockchain technology. These projects are likely to be more successful if you are not using the blockchain.
Gartner gives a good reason, which I very much agree with. I will not repeat them here because they do a great job.
A Blockchain is a ledger that maintains a network of systems. You can do your blockchain at private parties. This is possible, but I can say that there are many values outside the blockchain system. Anyone can prove the chain of blocks if they are just looking, join as subscribers, or long-term verification nodes.
So what should a person answer if they suggest using a medical blockchain?
Which problem is solved?
Why not solve this problem better in the “classic” database? I’m sorry that the problem is not resolved right now, not an acceptable answer. Probably the problem has not been solved since it does not matter to solve it. Therefore, it is unlikely that infrastructure payments like the blockchain will succeed.
How do you protect privacy?
The blockchain has a character that the information contained in the block should be sufficient for all parties to prove it. It is not helpful to just store encrypted information or display protected data elsewhere. Therefore, I do not recommend that you place health data in a blockchain.
The fact that health data cannot be included in the blockchain does not mean that the blockchain is not used in medical care. This is not just a treatment application.
How is the identity managed?
The essence of the blockchain is that the system does not require identification to be identified. The information and the blockchain signatures are encrypted with relevant identities. You can always reveal your own identity.
Is it necessary for the proposed system? Identification may be bad but must be met in both cases. This fact means the blockchain is a finished alias. Therefore, I suggested that it states that unspecified data is available.
How is the value created?
A Blockchain is important. How can participants win through participation in the Blockchain? A Bitcoin, the amount is worth the money and is earned through the test work. Part of the proof of employment of the series is growing at Bechtel, provided by other participants. Each of the participants gives a Bitcoin to get a blockade.
The use of the Blockchain for health care needs to provide a good answer on how the value created moved and used. No, it’s probably not the same as the Bitcoin system. As a result, it is probably a different use of blockchain for specific medical care purposes. I suggest using it in research books.
Blockchain is good for?
I do not think health data should go into the chain block.
However, the use of the Blockchain provides good value in
(a) disclosing the availability of data;
(b) publishing terminology (intelligent contracting) for use when access is obtained; Tracking checks and (c) registration (verification) of access and use.
