Hopewell Theatre has been home to many dreams and destinies of people and characters. With the 4th anniversary right around the corner and the day the theatre is set to reopen again after a year-long pandemic, it is set to start with live music in Hopewell Theatre. 

Reopening Celebrations 

10th September 2017 saw the opening of Hopewell Theatre with its 135-year-old history in various places and an illustrious showcase of talented performers. On 10th September 2021, Friday, Hopewell will be celebrating both its anniversary as well as reopening from 8:00 pm onwards, but the pre-events start from 6:30 pm. 

Danielia Cotton is the musician guest of honor on the special occasion, a woman from Hopewell with a song in her heart to sing at the celebrations. All patrons attending the events will receive a free gift by courtesy of the performers and HT, as a token of gratitude for the unending support. There will be light refreshments available to purchase at a concession.

Danielia Cotton grew up documenting her fears, and wisdom through the years in song and tune. Her leap of faith emerged in her teenhood, were a great part of her singing journey began with Cotton watching her mother and aunts perform. Steady and melodious vocalists on their own accord, Cotton took after her idols to further her dream of voice into reality. Danielia became the first of her family in three generations to attend university in New York City, where she could sign with a record label to pursue a singing career. Thus came about “Small White Town.” Shortly before its release, Cotton became one of the Artists to Watch by WXPN out of Philadelphia.

Her music is greatly influenced by her childhood and adolescence, but only those moments where she’d felt the intensity of her feelings, ones that she strongly mentions are “life-defining moments.” Her music tries to recreate that specific moment of wholeness. 

During the pandemic, Cotton released an EP titled “A Different War.” She goes on to sing about current affairs and her personal experiences in navigating life, social and community responsibility, by also referencing issues like racism, greed, etc. modified the existing, normal narrative for her. The EP also dips its feet into the turbulent waters of love and relationships. 

The world is awaiting a new album from Danielia Cotton, titled “Good Day,” that swings from soulful rock to morning blues and more. 

What To Know 

The advance tickets are live now, priced between $30-35, plus taxes and other fees. If you were to purchase tickets on the day of the show, the tickets will cost $36, plus taxes and other fees. Covid regulations continue to apply; masks are compulsory in the building. 

The venue has been deep cleaned during the lockdown –  HVAC equipment was upgraded and new stringent procedures have been enforced.

All advance ticket holders will receive emails and communication the day prior citing any specific regulations to follow or changes in the existing precautions. Stay masked and be vaccinated at the earliest.
